What do I need to do to register my marriage?
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not be judged or deemed insane or incompetent.
- Not siblings of the same father and mother, or only the same father and mother
- Not parents and adopted children
- No spouse, but if previously registered for marriage and divorced. Must have been separated from previous marriage by no less than 310 days. Unless having given birth or having a certificate stating that she is not pregnant or having a court order, or having registered for marriage with the previous partner.
Documents required for marriage for Thai people
- Original ID card that has not expired
- Prenuptial agreement (if any)
- If underage (20 years old). A parental consent letter and a signed copy of the parent’s ID card are required.
