Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has urged his team to get back on winning path in the Premier League after two consecutive games, especially when visiting Tottenham Hotspur (December 22) and not losing focus as the home team tends to step on the gas pedal immediately.
The Reds drew 3-3 with Newcastle, drew 2-2 with Fulham and had the Merseyside derby postponed, meaning Sunday’s final game could see Chelsea overtake them at the top if Enzo Maresca’s side take another three points from Everton earlier in the day.
Of course, the Brazilian giants will not be happy if that happens, so they must urge their teammates to play sure from the start of the game if they want to avoid being at a disadvantage like in the past.
“Of course we have to prepare ourselves as best we can and we know their quality,” he told the official website.
“We know how strong Tottenham are, both individually and as a team.”
“But do you believe that the formula for playing away football works well if you don’t give fans or opponents any hope?”
“If you can hold them UFABET off early, it’s a good sign. If you can make them non-toxic, it’s even better for us.”
“But we are ready to visit there with an open face.”
“The main objective is to keep a clean sheet and then get three points – that’s clear. But I also have to accept that it will be a tough task to play there if you want to do everything because it’s a difficult stadium.”
“Whenever they make the fans become one with the team, that’s our problem, so we have to do our job perfectly if we want the situation to be good.”
The Reds have won just one of their last three away games at Spurs in the league ( D1 , L1 ), most recently in Nov 2022 .
